A go potty song can be a friendly way to talk about a new routine. It does not need to become a performance your toddler must finish, or a promise that toilet learning will happen on a particular schedule.

Here you will find the original Preschool Playhouse video and three separate checks for your family’s routine: the learning plan, a comfortable setup and cleanup. You will also see two optional products to compare. The final check helps you agree on the same simple approach with other caregivers.

In this guide

  • 1. Watch the original go potty song
  • 2. 1. Agree on a learning plan before adding a song
  • 3. 2. Check the physical setup
  • 4. 3. Plan cleanup and caregiver consistency
  • 5. Go potty song questions
  • 6. Optional wipes for cleanup

Watch the original go potty song

Watch Learn How To Go Potty for Toddlers on Preschool Playhouse. The source identifies it as a children’s nursery-rhyme video. The original iBabyMama introduction included a general Lellobee Farm subscription message; the channel shown on this linked upload is Preschool Playhouse.

The suggestions below are our separate companion guide. They do not reproduce lyrics, summarize every scene or claim that watching the song establishes a child’s readiness or teaches toileting by itself.

1. Agree on a learning plan before adding a song

Start with what you want the routine to look like. Which words will you use, where will your child practise and which adult will help? Keeping those answers simple gives a song a place in the routine without making the screen the main event.

The NHS potty-training guide describes learning as a process that takes practice and patience, with individual pace and extra support when needed. Talk with your child’s clinician or health visitor if you are unsure how to begin or adapt the plan.

Watch together if your child enjoys the video. Afterwards, ask whether they want to talk about the potty or try a small part of the routine. There is no need to quiz them on the song, keep replaying it or expect an immediate result.

2. Check the physical setup

Decide whether you will use a floor potty or a suitable toilet setup. Check the supplied instructions, stability and fit. A child should be supported comfortably rather than balancing awkwardly or struggling to reach the seat.

NHS guidance describes a potty or a toilet with an appropriate child seat and step as options. It also emphasizes that a large shopping list is unnecessary. Check what you already have before buying another item.

Keep help nearby. Make clothing easy to manage and give your child time to become familiar with the setup. A comfortable-looking chair is still something to assess with your own child, not a guarantee that training will be easier.

Optional potty chair for this step

BabyBjörn Potty Chair, Deep Green/White

BabyBjörn Potty Chair, Deep Green/White: The observed listing describes a backrest, armrests, a rubber strip underneath, splashguard and removable inner potty. Follow its instructions and check fit, stability and foot support. This is not identified as a product in the animated video and does not guarantee a particular training result.

3. Plan cleanup and caregiver consistency

Choose where spare clothing and cleaning supplies will go so the adult can find them easily. Keep products stored safely away from your child. Plan who helps with emptying or cleaning the potty and with handwashing afterward.

NHS guidance recommends staying calm when accidents happen and coordinating the approach with other caregivers. If stools are painful or you suspect constipation, seek health advice rather than relying on a song or new equipment to solve the problem.

A short caregiver note can cover the words you use, the equipment, what help your child needs and whom to contact with a concern. Share it with nursery or another caregiver and ask what is practical in their setting. Review the plan together when something changes.

Go potty song questions

Does my child need to watch a video to learn?

No. The video is optional entertainment and a possible conversation starter. Practical support and your child’s individual needs remain central.

Should we keep playing the song until something happens?

This guide does not recommend using a video to require prolonged sitting or an immediate result. Keep the approach calm and ask for advice if you are uncertain how to proceed.

Will buying this chair guarantee success?

No. Equipment provides a setup to use; it cannot guarantee a learning timetable, prevent every accident or resolve a health concern.

Optional wipes for cleanup

Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Unscented Wipes, 768 Count

Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Unscented Wipes, 768 Count: The observed listing identifies 768 unscented wipes in twelve packs of 64. Check the current ingredients and your child’s individual tolerance. They are an optional cleanup supply, not a treatment or disinfectant. Dispose of used wipes in the trash and do not flush them.
