Baby food ideas can be useful inspiration, but a video title about weight gain does not tell you what an individual baby needs. Start with feeding readiness and suitable preparation, and bring growth concerns to your baby’s care team.
Here you will find the original Priya Vantalu video and four separate checks: readiness, texture, mealtime observation and professional growth support. Two optional supplies support ordinary feeding and cleanup. Read the growth section before trying to change a feeding plan to increase weight.
Watch the original baby food video
The Priya Vantalu recording is titled Baby Food || weight gain & Healthy. This page preserves the short video and adds independent feeding context. We have not verified its recipe, ingredients, portion size or a weight-gain result. The checks below are not a transcript or an endorsement of a recipe for every age.
1. Check readiness before choosing baby food
CDC guidance on introducing solids places the usual start at about six months, with developmental readiness. Relevant signs include head and neck control, sitting with support and swallowing food rather than pushing it back out. Starting before four months is not recommended.
Ask your baby’s clinician if you are uncertain about timing or have an existing feeding plan. A cooking video is not a reason to start earlier. Record your question and take the specific recipe or ingredient list to the conversation.
2. Review ingredients and texture
Check what a recipe actually contains before using it. If the short recording does not provide enough detail, choose a preparation you can verify. Do not guess at ingredients, quantities or substitutions based only on a finished dish.
The CDC guide advises preparing foods with a texture that suits the child’s development, such as soft mashed or pureed foods at the start, and watching during eating. Have the child seated upright for the meal. A food labeled healthy can still require different preparation for a baby.
An optional spoon for suitable foods

OXO Tot Silicone Spoons, 2 Pack, Blossom and Opal: This verified listing is a two-pack of flexible silicone spoons. Use only when your child is ready for suitable complementary foods, with an adult supervising. Check the current contents and care instructions. A spoon does not establish readiness, prevent choking or increase weight gain.
3. Make notes that help a care conversation
If meals concern you, keep a short factual note of what was offered, what your child managed and what you noticed. Include questions about discomfort or difficulty rather than trying to diagnose the cause yourself. Share the note with the professional who knows your baby’s history.
Avoid turning each meal into a test of finishing a certain quantity. If a care team has prescribed amounts or changes, ask how to follow that plan and when they want an update. Do not replace its instructions with a social-media suggestion.
4. Get individual help for weight concerns
The AAP’s faltering-weight guidance explains that clinicians assess growth over time alongside history and examination. Treatment depends on the cause and feeding history, and may include an individual plan with a dietitian or feeding specialist.
If you are worried about poor gain or weight loss, contact your baby’s clinician. Do not add supplements, change formula concentration or pursue a high-calorie recipe plan on your own. Ask what measurements and follow-up they need, and what changes, if any, fit your baby.
For a separate introduction topic, see our starting solids guide. Our paced bottle-feeding guide covers another feeding context.
Baby food and growth questions
Will this video’s recipe make my baby gain weight?
That outcome has not been verified. Growth concerns need individual assessment and a suitable care plan.
Can I start solids because my baby seems small?
Discuss growth and readiness with their clinician. Size alone does not establish that a baby is ready for solids.
Are the products a treatment for feeding concerns?
No. They are optional everyday utensils and cleanup supplies.
An optional cloth for mealtime cleanup

Yoofoss Muslin Burp Cloths, White, 10 Pack, 20 by 10 inches: The observed listing describes ten cotton muslin cloths, each 20 by 10 inches. Follow the care label and use a clean cloth for supervised everyday cleanup. Keep loose cloths out of sleep spaces. These are not disinfectants or a treatment for feeding or growth difficulties; suitable cloths you already own may be enough.
Use inspiration to form a question, then choose the next feeding step with your baby’s readiness and care needs in mind.
